"Workforce Ready 2" Course Module Plan for ESL Teachers

Encourage Your ESL Students to Speak
Speaking a new language can be a huge hurdle for students aiming for fluency. Many students need some extra encouragement to build the confidence needed to succeed both in and outside the classroom. By designing communicative lesson plans, you will help your students to build their skills in a comfortable environment. This will prepare them for success in real world situations.
FLOW Speak’s English Speaking Courses
FLOW Speak is designed to assist English-language learners in practicing their spoken English skills. By leveraging AI to give real-time feedback, FLOW Speak enables learners to improve their speaking skills independently. Beyond the six styles of lessons available, FLOW Speak also has pre-designed courses which guide learners through specific topics such as business, travel, and everyday life. These courses can be used individually or they can be integrated into an ESL class lesson plan.
Incorporate a FLOW Speak Course in Your ESL Lesson Plans
To help teachers incorporate these courses into their lesson plans, FLOW Speak has designed a module plan based on the “Workforce Ready 2” course. This course covers units related to employment such as job interviews, starting a new job, solving work problems, and more. Each lesson helps students to improve their conversational skills with a focus on employment vocabulary. When used together with the FLOW Speak course, the module plan will create a roadmap for ESL teachers to facilitate an employment unit.
“Workforce Ready 2” Module Plan
The “Workforce Ready 2” course is a 12 week program that guides learners through basic employment skills in English. Created for low intermediate (CEFR B1 level) students, the “Workforce Ready 2” course module plan includes suggested warm-ups, vocabulary words, and interactive exercises for each week of the FLOW Speak course. Teachers can use the module plan as a base and add or modify the activities to fit the specific needs of their class. The FLOW Speak lessons for each week can be assigned during class time or as homework, depending on the teacher’s preference.
